  1. […] (1) Charles Taze Russell was never associated with the organization known as “Jehovah’s Witnesses”. Russell did not believe in such an organization, and preached against such a sectarian organization until the day he died. After Russell died, Rutherford, by means of deceit and legal trickery, gained control of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, and used that legal entity to develop the sectarian organization that is now called “Jehovah’s Witnesses.” […]

  8. Richard Nelson says:

I am researching G C Driscoll who served in multiple roles as Pastor Russell’s publicist, news agent, advertising manager, and advance man from about 1909 until Pastor Russell’s death. He entered the film world doing public relations on behalf of the Photo-Drama of Creation and later was an executive in Pyramid Film Company of Dayton, Ohio, Mena Film Company and other ventures. He wrote the preface to “Millions Now Living Will Never Die!” by Judge Rutherford in 1920. Eventually, he died in 1941 in Los Angeles. His genealogical information and other materials I’ve added about him are online at http://www.familysearch.org/tree/#view=ancestor&person=MNG6-6D9

Would you have any biographical material, photos etc. on him? Info on the press bureau that he set up for Pastor Russell? Research suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

    Cordially,

    Richard Alan Nelson
